Our mission is to offer integral solutions and services for environmentally friendly energy conversion, to address existing immission/emission causes in our world and for health procedures.
DIF AG focuses on three main technological areas:
• Eco-friendly Energy Generation & Conversion (Power-to-X): This covers the entire energy landscape from source to use, including hydrogen production (e.g., from hydropower) and e-fuels.
• Air Purification & Emission Reduction: Development of technologies that eliminate particles, viruses, and bacteria down to the nanometer range.
• Research & Development (R&D): Utilization of new simulation and design methods (1D/3D), prototype production, and the generation of Intellectual Property (IP).
The leadership team consists of experienced experts:
• Dipl.-Ing. Bernd Danckert (CEO & Founder): Mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience in product development, new powertrains, and emission reduction.
• Dr.-Ing. Olaf Schäfer-Welsen (CTO & Co-Founder): Mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience in R&D, strategy, and digitalization in the energy sector.
• Alain Yves Frommelt (CFO & Partner): Treasury expert with over 30 years of experience in finance, Asset & Liability Management, and liquidity management.
Proven Track Record: DIF AG’s experts have successfully brought groundbreaking products from the laboratory phase to industrial application. This includes the development of the world’s first modular SCR systems for non-road vehicles (e.g., for Liebherr) and the first particle filter for rail trains.
Passion for solutions: The team is driven by the vision to create “Technologies for a Liveable Future”. Their motivation stems from the belief that global environmental challenges must be viewed more holistically than just climate protection, and that emissions must be avoided or filtered out at the source.
DIF AG sees itself as a comprehensive “Turnkey solution finder” and has a clear ethical philosophy:
• Focus on civil protection: Although there is interest from the military to use the technologies for command centers, it is DIF AG’s intention to use PlasmaR for civil protection, for example in bunkers or other shelters.
• Humanitarian commitment: A significant part of the philosophy is to invest a large portion of profits in humanitarian projects related to air purification. A specific goal, for example, is to equip a children’s hospital with PlasmaR systems free of charge.
• Holistic approach: DIF AG’s work goes beyond pure technology development and includes strategic advice and consulting to ensure holistic and sustainable solutions. Our motto is: “We all want to breathe healthy air!”.
